Default The LOLbuild

Hey guys,

Due to the recent HvH map introductions I figured out a little fun build that people could run to get some easy wins once ATs roll around (and even now, but a warning: matches are guaranteed to last a little while!)

The basic premise of the build is in a normal elimination TA map, go in, have the LOLsplitter1 build spread around siphon speed on everything (as it works as a pretty nice snare), and then have all 3 sins make a uberspike on one character. Upon doing this, snare everything with siphon speed/Shadow Prison and proceed to run around for ~7 minutes until the timer runs out, and win by morale. Congratulations!

On hero battle maps, the LOLbuild gets even MORE fun (I know, right? You wouldn't think it could get any better!) Have the two deadly paradox assassins place recall on your monk character, and have your team split into two squads- one being the Mo/E and A/W, and the other being the two deadly paradox assassins. Ideally, have the Mo/E and A/W run towards a lesser-priority shrine, such as the center shrine on maps like bombardment as an example, and have the two assassins run towards those key points (following my example, have the two assassins run towards the siege shrine). A split of one should be no problem for these two deadly paradox assassins to handle (with being able to kite with siphon speed, and 24/7 feigned for defense, as well as having a sizable offense and still being able to cap shrines). If a split of 2 or more comes along, don't fret! Just use Shadow Meld on each other, and dismiss your charges of recall. You'll be teleported back to your allies. While the enemy caps the shrine your Paradox team just recalled from, feel free to A) wipe any team currently engaging your main split (don't forget to respawn kill!), B) seize control of the shrine that your team originally had deadlocked, or C) go and cap other shrines (like the health shrines on bombardment). Upon the enemy capturing the shrine and then heading back to where their team needs assistance (since it'll be 2v4), have your two deadly paradox sins remove shadow meld, and they'll be back at the siege canon shrine, recapping what the enemy just wasted so much time getting in the first place. Then just dismiss your recalls, and congratulations, you now have complete shrine domination and have established a deadlock at the center! Feel free to begin uberspiking and quelling any attempts at retaking shrines.

Feel free to post your own ideas on how to change the LOLbuild for the better (as there definitely can be a lot of variations), and enjoy winning matches through broken 4v4 gameplay mechanics to better show anet why this bandaid fix is a step in the wrong direction for TA, and why competitive costume brawl needs to be implemented! Thanks!

Heh i sorta got a team like that in randoms today, two deadly arts sins, one dagger sin, and monk.
We steamrolled every match in ~30-50 seconds. Got 19 consecutives.

this recall gay shit is already too famous and overused in HvH...
dont bring it to TA aswell

pvp is getting suckier and suckier each update...

HA = only gimmick builds
HvH = only recall lame asses
GvG = boring defense ways and recall gankers
TA = was good, now its gonna be the same as HvH
RA = same thing as in TA

what is left?

the only arena that isnt RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed up but still i never liked the gameplay of it..

so whats left for ppl like me:

Ab where you can form your own team instead of being dependant (sp?) on a bunch of tards with a ladder n stuff is the only thing that can save GW imo.

Basically, casual PvP has died.

RA and TA were really the only forms of casual PvP left, and are screwed up now (Im blaming the dishonered system, not Hb maps.) There is no more "quick log-in pvp" battling anymore, and with subpar PvP rewards overall, the future for gw in this aspect is bleak, at best.

The thing is that the enemy monk only has to make one mistake and let someone die versus the really big spike those sins have setup and then they can run around and win by morale in elimination. And then it's pretty much impossible to beat these guys in HvH style maps because they can pretty much run circles around any other team.
